We truly believe in routine eye examinations so that you can see as clearly as possible. Once you have to get glasses or contacts, it is even more important to watch the health of your eyes. You also need routine checks to ensure your prescription has not changed.
To ensure good eye health and vision, we are very proud to offer the following services:
Comprehensive Eye Exams
On average, we recommend scheduling an appointment once every two years to ensure your eyes are remaining healthy. If you have been diagnosed with an eye condition, however, we recommend scheduling an appointment once or twice a year depending on the severity.
During your appointment, we will review your patient history, visual acuity, perform preliminary tests, and evaluate your eyes’ overall health.
request an appointmentContact Lenses
Nowadays, most people prefer to wear contacts instead of glasses. If you are interested in contact lenses, please let your eye doctor know prior to your appointment. During your exam, we will discuss the various contact lenses available and determine the best option based on your individual needs and lifestyle.
request an appointmentFrames
Glasses used to be a thing that people would dread purchasing, but they are no longer a drag! Eyeglasses are now another hip accessory to add to your wardrobe, so take your prescription as a good thing, not bad!
Going without glasses for even a day can be highly impairing, so we work hard to get you your glasses ASAP. Enjoy same-day service on most eyeglasses!
A great selection
At Valley Center for Vision, we have over 1,000 frames on display! We have basic frames for those who prefer a traditional look. For the fashionistas, we offer designer frames from brands such as Jessica McClintock, Tony Morgan, Tura, Aspex, Cottet, Koali and Elizabeth Arden.
Protect your eyes
Not only do our opticians create regular eyeglasses, but they can make prescription sunglasses for you as well. In addition, they can add a protective polarized filter on your sunglasses so stress and damage to your eyes are greatly reduced.
LASIK Co-Management
LASIK stands for laser in-situ keratomileusis and is a popular surgery to correct vision problems. LASIK can help people who are nearsighted or farsighted, as well those who have astigmatism.
LASIK works by reshaping the cornea with a laser, which allows light to be correctly focused onto the retina. A laser is used to create a small flap in the cornea, which is peeled back so another laser can reshape the cornea. The flap is then placed back and the surgery is complete.
request an appointmentSunglasses
Sunglasses are designed to protect your eyes from sunlight. While all tinted lenses help to protect your eyes from sunlight, some will protect your eyes better than others. Sunglasses with lenses that block ultraviolet sunlight are the best option. Although sunglasses can be expensive, there are many affordable brands that provide great protection from harmful sunlight as well. If you are interested in finding the best brand of sunglasses for your lifestyle, we can help you find them.
We have a variety of options for you to choose from that will comfortably fit your face and let you enjoy the warm weather in style. Prescription lenses can be applied to most sunglasses and we can help you order a specific brand if we don’t have them in the store.
request an appointmentVision Therapy
Vision rehabilitation is a service that can restore function after vision loss. It is just like physical therapy but for your eyes. Vision rehabilitation will allow people who have recently lost their vision or have low vision to continue to live normally and maintain their regular daily routine.
There may be many different parts of a vision rehabilitation session. Some of these include assessing and evaluating your needs and what your routine was like prior to your vision loss. Some others include teaching adaptive independent living skills, utilizing community support services, facilitating psychosocial adjustment to vision loss, and record keeping.
On-Site Lab
At Valley Center for Vision, we have a complete optical service laboratory on the premises, which means you enjoy the benefits of no third party handling your prescriptions. You won’t have to travel, or spend a lot to get your eyeglasses taken care of.
How you see the world is very important, which is why we strive to get you the most accurate prescription.
Advanced lab equipment
Inside the optical lab of Valley Center for Vision, you’ll find state-of-the-art equipment. Our lab uses the National Optronics Vista 1 Generator, which uses 3-axis curve control to closely control the curvatures cut with a diamond blade. This provides extreme precision.
Additional equipment
Our lab also has the National Optronics 6E Edger combined with 4T Tracer. This digitizes the 3D shape of the frame and cuts the lenses to a tolerance of 0.05 mm, which ensures that your lenses will fit perfectly. You won’t find accuracy like this anywhere else.
